Meet Ali Ahamed, our founder
Ali Ahamed has worked in car rental since 2014. He runs more than thirty cars in Dubai and more than twenty in Sweden, two markets that could not be more different in climate, customers, or expectations. He still does the work himself: he picks the cars, sets the prices, and shapes the guides you read on this site.
That hands-on experience is why GoRentCar runs the way it does. After more than a decade and over fifty cars across two countries, Ali made one clear decision for France: no deposit, and no credit card required. Most rental companies hold a large sum on your card for the whole rental. We do not, because we have learned to run a careful operation without tying up your money.
Drivers hate the deposit more than anything else. Having run this business since 2014, I know we do not need it to run well. So in France, we dropped it.

Why France, and why now
We came to France because we saw room for something better: a rental that feels personal, run by people who know the business rather than a faceless booking screen. You might be landing at the airport after midnight, or taking the coast road for a week. Either way, you are dealing with a company that has done this for years.
What you can expect from us
We show the full price before you book, and the price you see is the price you pay at the desk. The car is clean and ready when you arrive. You pay no deposit and you do not need a credit card. And we answer the phone before, during, and after your rental, not only until you have paid.
