Our Hyundai ioniq fleet in Paris
Showing 1-1 of 1 carsWe rent the Hyundai Ioniq 6 across Paris and bring it to wherever you are staying. This is the fully electric car, not the older hybrid Ioniq that shared the name until 2022, so there is no petrol tank and no engine to manage. For a week based in the city the appeal is simple.
It goes far enough that charging barely enters the picture, and it wears a green Crit'Air sticker, so the low-emission zone is never your problem. If you are deciding whether an electric car makes sense for a Paris rental, the Ioniq 6 is the version that makes the decision easy.
How far it really goes
On the long-range rear-wheel-drive version, the Ioniq 6 is rated at up to 614 km on a full charge under the WLTP cycle. Hard motorway driving in winter trims that figure, but the headroom is the point. A normal Paris rental is short hops across the city, a run to an airport, maybe a day out to Versailles or Giverny.
None of that empties the battery in a day. Most renters plug in once over a week, and some not at all if the car arrives with a high charge. That is the real difference between this car and a small city EV. You stop planning your day around the battery.
Charging when you do need it
The Ioniq 6 uses an 800 volt system, which is rare at this price and useful when you are short on time. On a rapid public charger it climbs from 10 to 80 percent in about 18 minutes, roughly one coffee.
Paris and the ring road have plenty of fast chargers now, and the cables store in a small compartment under the bonnet, out of the boot. For an overnight top-up, a normal wallbox at a hotel or apartment building handles it while you sleep. On a city-only stay you may not plug in at all.
Crit'Air and the low-emission zone
Paris runs a low-emission zone, the ZFE, and the rules tighten every year. Older diesels already face restrictions on high-pollution days and a wider ban over time. As a full electric car the Ioniq 6 holds a Crit'Air 0 vignette, the green one, so none of that reaches you. You can drive inside the périphérique and park without checking the day's air-quality rules. If you have ever been turned back in a rented diesel, that is reason enough to go electric for a trip here.
Room for people and bags
The Ioniq 6 is a fastback sedan, low and long, with a wheelbase stretched to nearly three metres. Inside that buys real space for four adults, and a fifth for shorter trips. The boot holds just over 400 litres, which takes two large cases and a few soft bags, so two people with a week of luggage fit without dropping the rear seats.
The sloping tail looks like it would hold less than a hatchback, and for tall boxes it does, but suitcases sit fine. If you are flying in, we can have it waiting when you land at Charles de Gaulle, so you skip the rental desk queue. It is quick enough off the line to merge onto the périphérique without any drama.
Renting one in Paris
Booking the Ioniq 6 with gorentcar means you get this car, the Ioniq 6, and not a category code that becomes whatever is left on the lot. We deliver it to your address anywhere in Paris and collect it the same way. Every booking carries the same terms, with nothing parked behind a deposit:
- doorstep delivery and collection anywhere in Paris
- no deposit and no card pre-authorisation hold
- debit cards accepted, not only credit
- unlimited mileage, so day trips out of the city do not add up
- the exact Ioniq 6 you booked, confirmed before delivery
The Ioniq 6 is currently the only Hyundai we run in the city, so our Hyundai rental Paris lineup is this one car in full. If you would rather weigh it against other plug-in options first, our electric range covers every EV we keep. For a Paris rental where you want distance and no emissions-zone hassle, this is the car we would point you to first.
