Car Rental in Neuilly-sur-Seine

Neuilly-sur-Seine is its own commune, not a Paris arrondissement, and that changes how a car rental works here. We deliver to your address, whether that's a house near the Bois de Boulogne, an apartment on Avenue Charles de Gaulle, or the visitor drop-off at the American Hospital of Paris on Boulevard Victor Hugo. Because Neuilly runs its own paid-parking scheme instead of Paris's, the zones and rates a Marais or Batignolles renter knows don't carry over, and getting that right matters if the car needs to sit on the street for more than an evening. The question that actually decides most rentals here is plainer: does your address have a driveway or a garage, or not.

Neuilly sets its own parking rules

The town has three street-parking zones, green, orange and red, each with its own days and hours rather than Paris's single scheme. All three charge from 9am to 7pm except on public holidays, when parking is free everywhere. Green runs weekdays only. Orange applies every day, Sunday included. Red covers Monday to Saturday. Rates start around 0.70 euros for the first fifteen minutes in the green zone, rising toward 40 euros for the 4h30 maximum stay, and cost more again in the orange and red zones, where the same stretch runs closer to 65 euros. Parking is free everywhere from 7pm to 9am. None of this touches you unless the car is staying on the street, which is exactly why we'd rather deliver to a driveway or a building's garage ramp when one exists.

Where the car actually waits

More of Neuilly's housing runs to detached and semi-detached houses with their own driveway or basement garage than you'll find in central Paris, and that's especially true on the streets closer to the Bois de Boulogne. Along Avenue Charles de Gaulle and around Place du Marché, it's mostly apartment blocks, and garage space there is not guaranteed the way it can be further out. If your address has a garage, tell us at booking and we'll bring the car straight to it at the time you set. If it doesn't, the car falls under whichever color zone your street sits in, and feeding a meter for a full week adds up fast against the 4h30 cap. For a house with a narrow driveway or a gated entrance, we'll usually put you in a compact. It clears tight gateposts that a full-size SUV won't.

The low-emission zone still applies here

Being a separate town from Paris doesn't take Neuilly out of the low-emission zone. The commune sits inside the A86, so it falls within the Métropole du Grand Paris's zone à faibles émissions, and Crit'Air 3 and older vehicles are barred from its streets on weekdays. The A86 ring road itself is excluded from the restriction, so older cars can still use it to pass around the city. It's the streets inside it, Neuilly included, where the rule bites. Every car we hand over already carries a Crit'Air 1 or 2 sticker, so there's nothing for you to register or display beyond what's on the windscreen.

La Défense, CDG, and Orly from your door

La Défense sits directly across the river: cross the Pont de Neuilly and you're on the esplanade within a few minutes by car, or one metro stop away on line 1. That closeness is a real reason people base a rental here rather than in central Paris, particularly for a same-day meeting or a week of commuting by car instead of by train. CDG is roughly 35 to 50 minutes out via the A86 to the A1, depending on traffic, and the route stays toll-free the whole way since it never leaves the Ile-de-France network. Orly runs closer to 25 to 35 minutes via the A86 to the A6b, also without a toll. A compact suits a day at La Défense or a run to the shops. If you're heading to either airport with luggage, or the family out toward Versailles for the day, an estate gives you the boot space a hatchback won't.

Fines and tolls, settled after you return the car

France enforces speed limits and parking rules by camera more than by officers on foot, and a rental left too long in Neuilly's orange or red zone racks up a bigger fine than the same mistake in the green zone. Any notice, whether it's a parking fine, a speed camera, or a toll from a trip further afield, arrives to us as the registered owner. We forward it to you with the original document attached and a flat admin fee on top, nothing hidden. Since we don't hold a deposit, the amount is simply charged to your card once the rental is closed, itemized so you can see exactly what it was for.
