Our Peugeot 3008 fleet in Paris

Showing 1-1 of 1 cars

The Peugeot 3008 is a compact SUV with a higher seat, a proper family boot and an automatic gearbox, and we rent it in Paris with the car brought to your door. We're gorentcar, an online car rental service, so a Peugeot 3008 rental in Paris means you book online and we deliver the car to your home, hotel or office instead of sending you to an airport desk.

A mid-size SUV, not a seven-seater

The 3008 is Peugeot's five-seat SUV. It gives you the raised seat and taller body people expect from an SUV, with more boot and more head room than a 208 or a 308, while stopping at five seats. In our Peugeot rental Paris range it sits in the middle, above the small hatchbacks and below the bigger cars.

If you're carrying more than five people, or you want a third row for the school run and the airport run, the seven-seat 5008 is the one to book instead. The 3008 earns its place when five seats and a large boot are all you actually need, which covers most couples and small families.

How much it actually holds

Boot space is the main reason to size up from a hatchback. The 3008 gives you around 520 litres behind the rear seats, and that more than doubles with them folded. The bench splits 60/40, so you can drop one side for long loads and still seat two behind. The boot floor adjusts for height too: set it high for a flat lip you can slide cases over, or low for maximum depth.

In practice, two adults, two children and a week of luggage go in with room to spare, and a couple of large cases plus a folded buggy fit without dropping a seat. For a full family airport run, that space is the whole point of the 3008 over a smaller car.

Driving it in Paris, and out of it

An automatic 3008 is the easy pick for Paris stop-start traffic and the périphérique, and that's the usual rental specification. It's a comfortable car on the longer runs people take out of the city, out to Versailles, Giverny, Fontainebleau or further into Normandy, and there's no mileage limit, so those trips aren't a problem.

In town it's bigger than a hatchback, so underground car parks and tight residential streets ask for a little more care, and the parking sensors and reversing camera earn their keep when you fit it into a narrow Haussmann-era space. It's wider and longer than a city hatch, so if a small footprint matters more to you than boot space, it's worth comparing it against the rest of our SUV range before you book.

The i-Cockpit, and whether it suits you

Peugeot's i-Cockpit is the one thing to try before you commit to a longer rental. Instead of looking through the steering wheel at the dials, you look over a small, low-set wheel at instruments set high on the dash. Plenty of drivers take to it at once and find it makes the car feel sharp.

Others find the rim of the wheel clips the top of the dials, depending on how they set the seat. It takes about five minutes to know which camp you're in, so spend a moment on the seat and wheel before you pull away and you'll be set.

Crit'Air and the low-emission zone

Paris runs a low-emission zone, the ZFE-m, that keeps the oldest and most polluting vehicles out on weekdays. A current petrol or hybrid 3008 sits in the cleaner Crit'Air bands, so those rules don't catch it and you can drive into central Paris on a restricted day. If you plan to be inside the zone and want to be certain, tell us when you book and we'll confirm the Crit'Air sticker on the exact car you're getting.

Picking up the 3008

You don't collect the 3008 from an airport counter. We bring it to the address you give us in Paris and collect it from wherever suits you at the end. There's no deposit to leave and no commission added on top, and a debit card is fine. To take the car, you'll need:

  • A full driving licence that's valid in France
  • A second piece of photo ID, usually a passport
  • Your booking confirmation in the driver's name
  • A payment card in the driver's name, and a debit card is fine

Give us your dates and a Paris address, and we'll have the 3008 delivered and ready to drive.
